Oh my, I'm posting again! Two days in a row...yippee!!
This is what our home looks like right now. It is always changing and evolving with the seasons. It needs more art work on the walls and more colorful pillows on the couch and color everywhere else but other than that, I really love my home. Its warm and cozy and that's perfect to me :)
This is our living room. Please excuse the playgate :)
The mantle is always changing.
Our shelf display above our couch.
Entry way.
Shelf with sweet knick knacks.
Wall between our staircase and kitchen.
Walking up the staircase.
Dining room.
Our bedroom.
Gavin's bedroom (my favorite room)
Like I said, our home is always changing and is never complete. I'll update whenever I add something new :)
Happy friday!

This Blog Thing
I am very bad at blogging. I can't keep up with it. My busy days leaves me forgetting that I even have one. However, I am not to busy to read other people's blogs. I've found two that I have been so in love with lately and I want to share them with you.
Katie from Skunkboy Creatures is soooooooo cute. She makes these super cute animal friends and they have definitely inspired me to try making some of my own. Her style is also so cute! Sigh...I envy.
Jamie from Bleubird Vintage is another recent favorite. The vintage inspired blog makes you definitely want to get up and go thrifting to look for treasures. And she is so beautiful to look at too. Sigh...I envy again.
I like both of them very much not only for the artistic inspiration but also because they're both mothers. It makes me feel good to know there are a group of women out there who love what I love. I wish I knew them personally.
We took Gavin to the playground for the first time last week and he loved it. He laughed and laughed when we pushed him on the swing. Then he took a ride on the slide with Papa and then attempted to eat the gravel.

I made Gavin's Halloween costume this year. We first bought him a monkey costume but ended up taking it back because the monkey looked more like a lion. Disappointed in the other selections, I shook off my insecurity of making a costume and did it the other night. I'm pretty proud of my creation. It's my first costume and I didn't even have to look up a pattern or anything. Not too shabby, don't you think?
Here he is hanging out with his bestie, Caleb. Super cute.

I can't believe Gavin is almost a year old. How did this time fly by so fast? I heard a good quote the other day that said, "With a child, a day can feel like a year and a year can feel like a day." Too true. Gavin has such a personality. He makes me laugh every day. He loves loves loves to eat. Nothing has changed in that department. He is also super talkative and has been carrying on "conversations" with me, Ben, and himself. He's not walking yet but we're getting close. He's taking 2-3 steps here and there and it's so fun to see. I have been making plans for his first birthday and I can't wait to celebrate it with family and friends!
He's my very best friend. :)

The End of Summer (Kind Of)
Hello all! I am very bad at updating my blog. I will try better next time.
Gavin is 9 1/2 months old! Holy Crapoly! Time really does fly by. Here are his 9 month stats:
19 lbs
28 inches
He still loves to eat. I'm not sure that will ever change. He can now eat our table food and he can feed himself. He enjoys apples, chicken, and toast with cheese. He prefers to watch tv while he eats. We have already started bad habits :( Don't worry, once we get this crap out of our dining room, we will start sitting in there for family meals.
He sleeps through the night sometimes. I'm trying to figure what it is that helps him sleep. So far, every time he sleeps through the night its when Ben puts him to bed. Hmmm...
He is standing on his own quite frequently now. Still has not taken that first step. He doesn't like to practice walking. Every time I try, he'll throw his arms straight above his head so that I can't hold him very well and then he ends up sitting down and crawling. That tricky fella.
He is good at pointing and I'm trying to teach him that he can communicate by pointing at things.
If you tell him to give you a kiss, he'll slober on your face.
He can wave..sort of. You have to keep waving to him for like 5 minutes and then he gets the point and waves back.
That's my little man!
I am ready for fall. I am ready for hoodies and holidays and making presents. I love fall so much because of the changing leaves and cool weather. It makes me excited because it's a sign that the holidays are swiftly approaching. I've already made out my Christmas list (not for me to get presents but to make presents for everyone else). Handmade presents take time and I have to start early. I can't wait to decorate our home for Christmas and to have a tree with presents underneath for my little guy. It's going to be great!

Imagine, Create, Love
I started a new blog titled {Imagine, Create, Love}. This will be my project blog where I share tutorials on how to craft things. I think it will be lots of fun so I hope you guys check it out and follow me!
Gavin is 8 1/2 months old. How did time fly by so fast? I feel like just yesterday I found out was pregnant and now he's almost a year old. That is just crazy. He has two of his bottom teeth and they are so cute to look out. He won't show them to you if you pull down his lip. He'll stick his tongue out to hide them if you do that. You can only see them when he laughs which he loves to do all the time.
He has started to stand by himself without any support from us or furniture. So far the longest he has stood by himself is about 30 seconds. I am encouraging him to take his first step. I can't wait for my little mover to walk! He's going to love the independence.
We are still working on getting him to sleep through the night. He loves his milk. I feel bad denying it but he needs to understand that night time is sleep time, not eating time. One night at time and he will get the hang of it.
Enjoy my Lil O.
